Nicholas Serota, the Chair of Arts Council England, recently wrote in the Guardian about the need for the arts to reach more people.  This is particularly critical for children and young people , and one of the most significant investments the Arts Council makes in culture for young people is the joint investment in Music Education Hubs with the Department for Education.

At NYMAZ, we know how hard it can be for Music Education Hubs and schools to provide regular access to high quality live music experiences, especially those who are in rural areas or areas without music venues in easy reach. Connect: Resound Live programmes high quality music performances, curated especially for a young audience, and supported with resources for teachers, to make it easier for schools to provide access to music where costs, transport and the pressures of the curriculum can make it more difficult.  We’d love to hear from you if you tune in, and find out what performances you’d like to see and hear!
